Ashes (another depressing poem)

"The world is nothing but a crucible"

The flames of desire
mark my heart as a pyre
where innocence and love
are turned to ash

Carnal desires
For silver-tongued liars
That sink their teeth in my skin;
Ecstasy begins

Pick your poison
Pick your sin
The full moon rises
Light gives in

The Darkness shrouds
my heart
Like a veil
wrapping me in shadows
Waiting for that tiny spark

"Everything burns if the flame is hot enough"

My heart is a crucible
Love comes in
but only ashes flow out
